Hi everyone,
Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for this weekends outing. We will be leaving Friday night, the 24th of January for Kitson Scout Camp. Saturday we will be heading out to Willamette pass to spend a day on the slopes. We will return to Kitson Saturday night and then come back to Eugene on Sunday morning. I anticipate returning around 11:00 am. I have secured a deal with Berg’s for renting skis or snowboards. Rental cost will be $30 for the weekend and this includes a helmet. Everyone is responsible for picking up their own rental gear. We can pick them up as early as Tuesday the 21st and they will need to be returned by Monday the 27th. Troop 100 is going to Bachelor the same weekend so rentals are first come first serve. A scout and parent will need to go together to ensure proper fitting and to be able to sign the liability agreement. We are blessed to have some knowledgeable adults that will be taking their time out of their weekend to help teach beginner skiers. Thank you in advance to Annette and Don Harkins, Michael Donahue and Randy King. I do not think we could find any instructors that are as soft spoken and patient as these folks.
Please plan for cold weather. Scouts will be sleeping in adirondacks on this outing and will need to bring their own sack dinner Friday night.
