Parents and leaders, I have just transferred our scouts’ records over to Scoutbook.com, which is the new system we’ll be using for advancements from here on out. In this system, you will be able to log in from any browser to keep track of their achievements. You should each be getting an e-mail from Scoutbook.com with an invitation to sign up and view your scout’s info. Leaders can also view their own info, such as completed training and expiration dates. If you do not receive an e-mail from Scoutbook, or would like to change/add a parent or e-mail to your scout’s account, let me know!
Signing up for Scoutbook is optional, but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED! After you sign up and log in, please review your scout’s personal and contact info and make sure everything is up to date. If you opt not to sign up, please check in with me on a Tuesday evening to review their info for accuracy. If any advancements, merit badges, or awards are missing or not accurate, please let Scoutmaster Altmiller know for now, as I’m still getting my bearings in that department. Thanks!
(We are aware that all the patrols are not up to date, and that the fitness merit badge is not yet listed.)
Questions about using Scoutbook can be addressed to me. Learning a new system can be challenging, and I’m here to help! Also, let me know if you have any interest in a parent orientation class on using Scoutbook. I will gladly put a class together if there is enough interest.
Looking forward to working with each of you in the future as we support our boys in their scouting achievements!
