TROOP 282 EQUIPMENT RENTAL INFORMATION for Nov. 30th Camp out

Scouts and Scouters,

As you know the up-coming camp- out on Nov. 30 to Dec 2nd is a cross country skiing activity (and possible sledding).

Bergs again has offered our troop a discount for cross country skis and boot rental.

BERG’S Address: 367 W 13th Ave, Eugene, OR

Parents will need go with their scouts when they get fitted and sign an equipment release form. LEADERS WILL NOT BE RESERVING OR PICKING UP/DROPPING OFF EQUIPMENT. So plan accordingly this week.

You are able to get fitted for next weekend starting right away (TODAY). BUT you will not be able to pick up your skis until this Tuesday.

Bergs closes on Saturday at 6 pm
Sunday hours are Noon until 5 pm.
Weekdays Bergs closes at 6 pm.

Equipment rental fee is $10 for use of the skis for one day. This is to be paid by the parent/scout when skis are picked up for the camp out.

HOWEVER Your SKIS NEED TO BE RETURNED TO BERGS DECEMBER 2ND IN THE AFTERNOON (PRETTY MUCH RIGHT AFTER YOU GET BACK FROM THE CAMP OUT in order to not be charged an extra Day Thank you )

TROOP 282: Wreaths/Thanksgiving/No Troop

Greetings,

Christmas wreath orders are due via email to Scoutmaster Altmiller at baltmiller please make sure to include how many wreaths that you are ordering and any bows that you have sold as well. I will respond back to your email to confirm your order. The wreaths will arrive here in Eugene on Saturday 11/24. I will send out an email announcing the wreaths arrival and directions for you to pick them up that day.

NO TROOP MEETING ON 11/20. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Holiday.

TROOP 282 ICE SKATING NOVEMBER 13th

SCOUTS and SCOUTERS,

CHANGE OF PLANS for the meeting this week. The troop is ice skating!!!

Please meet at 6:45 pm at the rink to get your ice skate rental. The session is from 7 pm-8:30 pm.

COST: $3 to rent skates, ADMISSION is $6 (but there our troop may receive a 10% discount on "group" admission)

PLEASE bring your own form of payment. This activity will NOT be taken out of your ISA.

Order forms for Christmas Wreaths are due to Scoutmaster Altmiller by November 19th. So please bring your order form this week (or you can send it to him via email).

For Scouts who will be working on your climbing merit badge:

It’s recommended that you read through the climbing merit badge pamphlet before you begin working on this merit badge. Attached is a .pdf copy of the 2008 version of the pamphlet, for your convenience, so that you can look through it before you climb this Tuesday. The requirements may have changed since then, but the informational content in the pamphlet should be essentially the same.
